Points to remember:

(a²)X(b³) = a²⁺³

(a²)³ = a^2x3

(ab)² = a²b²

Square of a binomial: (a+b)²

Multiply the:

F - First Terms: (a+b)(a+b) = a²

O - Outside Terms: (a+b)(a+b) = ab

I - Inner Terms: (a+b)(a+b) = ab

L - Last Terms: (a+b)(a+b) = b²

[Combine the terms and add like terms.
