how do I find the roots of (x-5)^2 - (x-5)x -12 = 0?

How do I factor it with the brackets and stuff?

open the brackets

x^2 +25 - 10x -x^2 +5x -12 = 0

-5x +13 = 0

x = 13/5

variationintime answered: use the Gauss theorem or divergence theorem. You can find more information about them at youtube, there are very simple to find the roots.
