what is the difference between an equation having no solution and an equation having an infinite number of solutions?

if there are two parallel lines, they have no solutions, means they never meet, quite evident

if there are two lines like

ax+bY = c

and

2ax+ 2by= 2c

it may seem a different lines, but all it is just multiplied by 2 to the first lines to get to the second line

so if you plot both the lines, you will get two overlapping lines, and hence you would have infinte number of solutions.
